EGG-cellent Chocolates You’ll Love This Easter!
Happy Easter everyone!
We’re a quarter of the way through 2021, and normality is (hopefully) on the horizon.
Shops have been laden with chocolatey goodness since January, and with Easter now almost upon us, here’s a look at some of the best cocoa-based options that money can buy!
Cadbury’s Mini Egg – 507g: £12
This Cadbury classic has long been a favourite for many, and this year’s offering has been named the tastiest supermarket easter egg! The chocolate shell is embedded with actual mini eggs, plus a fun-size bag on the side. Exclusive to Tesco, grab yours before they disappear.

Thorntons Continental – 256g: £10
Can you remember walking into a Thorntons Chocolate store and wanting to try EVERYTHING? There was a time when Thorntons was the ‘go-to’ high street chocolate experts.
The Continental Gift Egg brings back the nostalgia with a pretty Easter egg and an accompanying selection of milk, white, and dark chocolate truffles.

Ferrero Rocher – 275g: £10
Many man-hours will have been put in over the years trying to create the giant golden-cone sculpture of Fererro Rocher that you see in the adverts!
Waistlines all over the world have been expanded due to these decadent classics, and this Easter you can pick up a super-sized hollow egg, compete with 8 individual Fererro Rocher chocolates.

Morrisons Luxury Belgian Chocolate Layered Egg: £10
Finding it hard to choose between milk, white, or dark chocolate? This handcrafted luxury egg combines all three – one inside the other, with an exquisite finish!
The centre egg is coated in gold lustre, giving the impression it is much more expensive than it is. The only question is, which type of chocolate will you start with?

Tony’s Chocolonely Easter Egg Assortment – 155g: £3.75
Tony’s fair-trade brand presents 12 eggs, divided by 7 flavours. Just like their chocolate bars, the eggs have been divided unequally, to highlight the inequality in the chocolate trade.
The 7 flavours include milk chocolate, dark chocolate, almond honey nougat, caramel sea salt, almond sea salt, hazelnut, and pretzel toffee.
So no matter what your favourite flavour is, you’re sure to find something you’ll love!

Aldi Blonde Beehive Egg – 600g: £14.90
Aldi has pulled out all the stops this year, and with them offering such a wide range of beautifully crafted Easter treats, it was almost impossible to pick just one to include here.
Their famous Giant Dragon Egg is back by popular demand, alongside fair-trade and vegan options. This year also sees the appearance of novelty milkshake-shaped treats, with flavours including Eton Mess and popping Candy.
The Aldi egg I’ve chosen for this list, is the star of their range – The Blonde Beehive.
Honeycomb pieces and bee pollen have been added to luxurious fair-trade blonde chocolate. The shell has been decorated with honey caramel-filled bees, finished in gold.
And if that wasn’t enough, it includes a hidden drawer of salted caramel truffles!

What’s more, the egg is filled with vegan fruit and nut chocolate, macadamia praline, and cherry chocolate, as well as Ecuadorian raisins and almonds.
Fortnum & Mason Easter Praline Scotch Egg – 130g: £15.95
Many innovations have come from the Fortnum & Mason kitchens over the years, and this year is no exception, as the humble scotch egg has been transformed into a stunning Easter egg!
A simnel-flavoured milk chocolate praline shell surrounds an orange chocolate ganache ‘yolk’, while being coated in roasted hazelnuts and cocoa nibs.
Truly, the Easter Bunny has done himself proud this year!
